Forming Teams
There is no set way to form teams. In general,
players usually have at least one other friend they'd like
to play with. However, it's also good practice to split teams
evenly in experience, hardware, age, etc. Forming teams can
also be time consuming. The following method may satisfy all
requirements.
Pick one friend you'd like to play with and
partner up by adding a 'random personal figure'. Odd numbers
go to lime. Even numbers go to red. Players with no friends
need not partner at all and can use their own figure as the
final figure.
- Example: Partner with
a friend and add your ages (random personal figure)... so
if the pair's ages are 25 & 27 for a total of 52 ...
52 is an even number and the pair ends up on the red team.
Players outside of a pair can add ZERO. So 25 & 0 is
still 25 and player ends up on lime.
- Random personal figures
are unlimited...examples are age, last digit of phone number,
street address, last digit in SSN, last digit of license
plate, height in inches, etc.
- Flaws with this method - Players
must give an honest answer or the random personal figure
must be verifiable. Furthermore, the random personal figure
must be a figure that realistically random enough. Telephone
area code would probably not qualify in most cases.
