Catfish mentioned recently that I haven't been around the forums lately. Well, not exactly true. I check these out from work an a lot of times I don't log in.
Anyways, just as the weather starts to look better for paintball, I'm going to be down & out for a few more months. I just went to the doctor yesterday to have my 5 year old broken leg looked at. The X-rays look really good and I'll be having surgery within a month to have the metal rod & screw removed. The only issue is, the doctor has requested I stay away from high impact activities for 2 months following the surgery. That would include paintball and my dirt bike. Looks like I'm going to be bored for a little while longer.
Just thought I'd check in and mention that I haven't forgotten about this place. |

Bummer that you're going to miss some paintball Justin, but good news about your leg.
You could still come out to a game or two for a visit, and maybe snap some pics?

Thanks, I would love to build a tank, and have always wanted to either drive one or be the gunner. I'll be out to visit if I can't play. And, paintball is always in the need of good action photos, so that sounds like a plan to me.
Last year was a constant battle between me and my vehicle. It ate away most of my play money without much of a problem.
I started working out more the last few months, trying to get into better shape. The screw in my knee causes a very sharp pain any time that leg it bent with weight on it. I couldn't ever isolate that leg to make it stronger because I had to use the other leg as support. The doctor seems to think that most if not all that pain will go away if the hardware is removed.
I have an x-ray if anyone wants to see it. You'll see it and think, that's not right. But, removing the rod & screw should eliminate/minimize the only pain that is still lingering from the injury. My plans are to rehab the heck out of it, so that when I do return to playing, I'll be faster than any of you have ever seen me. |

And don't think being the cameraman will mean that you aren't still going to get shot by the guys who have grudges against you.
Last time I was camera boy, Bill shot me a half dozen times... And it was a pump game. |

| Believe it or not, I don't have any pain from the break it's self. All my pain it in the hip and the screw above my knee. I'm expecting to be sore for around a week. The 60 days without paintball is to allow bone marrow to grow where the rod was. |

That tank was kind of cute and not very intimidating. Any of our local tanks could run that over like a monster truck. That game apparently didn't have the 20 foot rule.
So, the metal in my leg is coming out 3-3-10. Assuming I follow the doctors request, I can't play until 5-3-10. |
